		<description>ok, so annoyingly, your headline got that bryan adams song in my head (&quot;look into my eyes....you will see... what you mean tooo meeeee&quot;), but I&#039;ll comment anyway. 

	Although I think you&#039;re probably right about the importance to a narrative for the protagonist to resist positive change being the driving force here, I think this sometimes has a real life analogue (beyond the stigma, which I think is often hard enough on its own to deal with, even if you don&#039;t have a poor opinion of treatment yourself). Anyway, my point is, if you think your fucked up behavior and persistent depression is part of what makes you yourself, then the prospect of going to therapy to &quot;fix&quot; those things (and the possibility that it might work) is the scariest thing in the world. Like, here, give up your identity so we can all be happy. Um, no thanks.
